Steps to fix the jamming issue in Canon printer:
follow these steps to fix the paper jam in the printer.
- Disconnect the power wire from the back of the Canon Printer. this is an important step when operating wi any electronic device.
- Unhinge the back access panel of the printer, this door will be in the back of the printer.
- Check the opened back panel and check for the paper. remove all paper you find jammed in there.
- Close the back access panel and make sure that it latches into place and looks the same way that it did before you opened it
- Find the top access panel. this is the panel you need to lift to change the ink cartridges. after that Open this access panel.
- If the carriage that holds the ink cartridges moves that means you forgot to unplug the printer, go back and do that. look for paper that is jammed in the area of the printer.
- Remove the paper you find jammed in here. when you are pulling from the front there will enclose resistance from the paper feeder. Pull slowly otherwise the paper will rip and create a more difficult problem.
- Plug the printer's power cord into the outlet, and attempt to print again. If the printer prints the work, then you have successfully removed the paper jam
